After College of Horticulture&Forestry Sciences signed an agreement on personal training cooperation with Kyoto University in March this year, the delegation led by Nawada Eiji, the minister of Agriculture Department visited our university and signed agreements on academic exchanges and cooperation. President Deng Xiuxin, Vice-president Zhang Xianlong and leaders from Student Affairs Office, Teaching Affairs Office, College of Horticulture&Forestry, International affairs Office and Graduate School attended the signing ceremony.
On the morning of May 4th, Vice- president Zhang Xianlong welcomed the guests, and each side introduced the basic conditions in terms of campus environment, disciplinary advantages, talent cultivation system, faculty, scientific and technological strength. Then President Deng Xiuxin signed the cooperation agreement with Kyoto University on behalf of HZAU based on the mutually agreed objectives and outcomes. According to the agreement, students who attend the program will enjoy tuition waiver and academic credit that they earn from courses they successfully complete will be accepted by both universities.
On the afternoon of May 4th, the leaders of both universities discussed the challenges and opportunities that may present in the future, such as student exchanges, international academic conference and academic forum, etc.
Obviously, students from both universities can benefit a lot from it. Attending this program will broaden their horizons and have an open mind to the world.
