个人简介
1983年毕业于华中农学院植保系。
1989年毕业于中国农科院研究生院植物病理学专业。
1983年7月-1999年9月在中国农科院果树研究所工作,主要从事果树病毒研究。
1999年10月至今在华中农业大学工作,主要从事果树病理与病毒研究、植物保护学教学及植物病理学硕、博士研究生培养。
1990年、1998年、2001年和2003年分别赴德国植物病理研究所、意大利地中海作物病毒研究中心、美国和澳大利亚进行果树病毒合作研究及考察。
现为华中农业大学植物科技学院教授,博士生导师,国家梨产业技术体系病虫防控研究室主任、病毒病与生理病害防控岗位专家,国家果树脱毒种质资源室内保存中心副主任。

长期从事果树病毒及其类似病害研究,先后主持国家级科技项目13项。开展重要果树病原病毒和类病毒、植原体的分子特性研究,为利用无病毒种质控制病毒病提供理论依据和技术支撑;开展柑橘病毒和类病毒及检疫性病原细菌的遗传多样性研究,为利用弱毒株系的交叉保护作用控制病毒病和有效控制检疫性病原扩展提供技术支撑与生产指导;开展重要果树病毒脱除技术及机理研究,为建立高效的果树病毒脱除技术提供理论基础和技术条件;开展梨病虫害综合防控技术研究,为我国梨产区提供病虫害诊断与防治技术支撑及服务平台。

在国内率先鉴定明确了梨等果树的病毒种类及其分布危害状况,研制出多种病毒快速诊断试剂盒,获得了多种果树的无病毒原种,并在主产区示范获得了显著的增产优质效果。并研究明确了我国不同梨产区梨树病害的发生特点,提出了梨的主要病害诊断方法和防治技术,并在生产上应用产生了明显的经济和社会效益。1995年被授予中国农业科学院优秀青年称号,1996年被授予中国农业科学院有突出贡献中青年专家称号, 2001年被批准享受国务院政府津贴。

已有鉴定成果6项,其中“我国四种主要果树的病毒分离鉴定及检测技术体系研究”,2008年获湖北省科技进步二等奖 ,为第一完成人;“苹果脱病毒、病毒鉴及繁殖技术”,1995年获辽宁省科技进步二等奖,第一完成人。

以第一作者主编出版的科技著作与教材12部,其中《动植物检疫法规教程》(科学出版社)被列为高等农林院校教材;《果树病虫害诊断与防治原色图谱》(金盾出版社)2011年被评为湖北省优秀科普作品。

制订国家及行业标准3项,其中《苹果无病毒苗木》(NY328-1997)和《苹果无病毒苗木繁育规程》(NY/T329-1997)均为第一起草人。

近五年(2007-2011年)以通讯作者在VIRUS RESEARCH、Virus Genes、Plant Cell Rep、PLANT DISEASE等SCI刊物及植物病理学报、植物保护学报、园艺学报等一级学报上发表学术论文20篇
