2018-05-08

On April 18th, the "Laboratory Cup" basketball competition, which was the first activity of the Laboratory Culture Festival of the Plant Science and Technology College, came to a close on the Boyuan basketball court. Starting on March 31st., the competition lasted 19 days ,during which 11 teams completed 33 games. Finally, "we are still champions" team won the laurel, the"rapeseed group" team took second place, and the "plant pathology" team came in the third.

Although matches were held every day in the midst of the scorching sun, it still couldn't stop teachers and students’ enthusiasm for coming to watch the games. Every day at noon, the court would be a sea of cheers. Throughout the competition, it was hard to avoid small frictions completely, but each team would always adhere to the sports spirit of "friendship first, competition second", play out the level, and respect the judgment results of the referee. These made the competition orderly. Besides, during the final half time, a fun shooting game was also held. Many spectators took the chance to distinguish themselves, some of whom were hidden three point shooters.

This basketball competition not only enriched postgraduate life outside of experiment, but also strengthened the cohesion and centripetal force between inside and outside of laboratories, which perfectly showed the tenacious and tolerance spirit of our postgraduate students.

This event was organized by the postgraduate working committee of the Plant Science and Technology College Communist Youth League ,and was held by the postgraduate committee of the Plant Science and Technology College.
