On March 24th, 2018, Prof. Hongyu Zhang presided over the subproject "Integrated Research and Demonstration of Reduction Technology of Citrus Fertilizer and Pesticide in the Middle Yangtze River" of the National Key R&D Project "Integration Research and Demonstration on Reduction of Citrus Fertilizer and Pesticide Technology". The work was held in Conference Room 217 of Administration Building in Huazhong Agricultural University. Prof. Chengxiao Hu, the chief of the project, and Yi Yang, the director of the major project management department of the school's Department of Science and Technology Devwlopment, were invited to attend the conference. The nine project backbone from our school with accompanying members from the Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences Fruit Tea Institute, Hunan Agricultural University, Hunan Provincial Horticulture Research Institute, Ganzhou Citrus Research Institute and Huazhong Agricultural University attended the meeting.
The chief expert of the project and the head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Division, Prof. Chengxiao Hu, firstly welcomed and thanked the experts for attending the meeting on behalf of the school. He wished everyone will keep in mind with the hard-won and major mission of the third project and make concerted efforts to accomplish the objectives of the project. He stressed the importance of Project Three, which involving three provinces and regions,making it a heavy task. He pointed out that the main tasks of the project mainly include the ripening and application of technology and the smooth promotion of demonstration applications. At the meantime,he made a request on signing of results, academic ethics and integrity and so on. The director of the Department of Science and Technology Development, Yi Yang briefly introduced the management system of the national key R&D program, and emphasized the budgetary control of research funds and the coordination among projects, tasks, and units. He also emphasized the main responsibilities of the participating projects and subject legal entities to implemented Three-Level Responsibility of Project-Topic-Task and to complete the phase of the task and achieve the desired goal.
Prof. Hongyu Zhang, the person in charge of the project, introduced the overall plan of the project and the progress of work in 2017 and the work plan, the division of tasks, assessment indicators, and implementation mechanisms for 2018.He also pointed out that the main thrust of the work in 2017 was a large sample survey, a technical inventory, and a core experimental area. The construction of the project will mainly focus on key technology research and development, technical system construction, technical regulation formulation and technology demonstration development in 2018. At the same time, it is emphasized that the implementation of the project task must strictly comply with the relevant regulations and use trace management and standard management. Subsequently, the key members of the project reached consensus on issues such as the issue of focusing on task, aiming at goals, embodying commonalities, focusing on applications and accelerating landing. The task bearers of each topic introduced the overall plan for their respective tasks, the progress of major work in 2017 and the work plan for 2018. The members of the executive panel made comments and suggestions on various reports. The chief expert of the project, Professor Chengxiao Hu, emphasized that the management of the project should implement trace management and standard management and that technological development should be able to land and strive for cooperation with the enterprise. The demonstration should integrate various resources from other projects, government departments to ensure the appropriate scale and to promote demonstration. Finally, Prof. Hongyu Zhang, the host of the project, thanked the project leader and the executive expert group for their valuable comments, summed up and announced the major resolutions of the meeting, and put forward specific requirements for the work in 2018.
