On the morning of 30 March, the ceremony of Postdoctoral Innovation and Practice Base which was built by our university and Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company) was held in the company. Gu Houwu, the director, manager and secretary of the Party Committee of Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company) and professor Zhang Xianlong , the vice President of our school attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Shuli, the deputy manager of Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company).
At the meeting, Zhang Xianlong and Gu Houwu signed a cooperation agreement. According to Mr.Gu, Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company) had good communication and interaction foundation with HZAU. Many employees graduated from the university, so there are natural feelings between the company and our school. The establishment of Postdoctoral Innovation and Practice Base marked that the cooperation have been led to a new level, which was also a great event of the company. By building a bridge of communication between the school and the company, we would deepen our cooperation relationship. He hoped that both sides would work together to do a good job, to strengthen cooperation with HZAU, to promote the combination of production and researches and finally obtain more experience, more achievements and more talents.
Zhang Xianlong introduced the development of HZAU to the participants, and invited the alumni who cared about and supported the development of the school to celebrate the 120th anniversary. He said that Postdoctoral Innovation and Practice Base was an innovative model of school-enterprise cooperation, which can combine scientific researches with actual demands of production. He expressed the hope that both sides would take the opening ceremony as an opportunity to strengthen applied research and proteomics in cultivation, plant protection, variety improvement in order to promote the study of agronomic traits and variety improvement.
After the ceremony, the Party Branch of Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company) and the Party Committee of College of Plant Science and Technology carried out an academic exchange activity called "theme party day +". Professor Huang Junbin, the secretary of Party Committee of Plant Protection, professor Guo Liang, the dean assistant and a member of "one thousand youth" and the associate researchers of Tobacco Research Institute of Hubei, Li Xihong and Cao Jinglin made academic reports about tobacco diseases and variety improvement. Zhu Zhengning, the secretary of the Party Committee of College of Plant Science and Technology, pointed out that the academic exchange activity was a part of the "flag and field” which was organized by the Party Committee. This activity enriched the connotation of the Party, which also boosted the cooperation of employment, the growth of youth talents and production investigations.
The people who came from the College of Plant Science and Technology, College of Life Science and Technology, Hubei Tobacco Bureau (company) and Tobacco Institute of Hubei attended the ceremony together.
