Recently, the Ministry of Education officially launched 490 “National Excellent Online Courses” for the first time. According to statistics, the number of MOOC courses in China has been ranked first in the world.
Huazhong Agricultural University
Zhou Xingmiao, an associate professor of College of Plant Science and Technology, builds an online course actively, which is popular among students. The course that he built named "Common Entomology" was selected as the first batch of "National Excellent online courses" together with the other 8 courses of HZAU,making the university ranks the first among agricultural and forestry universities.
Sichuan University
Wang Hong, a professor of Literature and Journalism College is also the principal lecturer of the "Chinese Poetry Art" course of Sichuan University. But for the students of Douge Middle School in Yunnan, Wang Hong is the enlightening people of their dreams as well although she only appears on the screen of classroom.
Wuhan University
"The real value of MOOC is the combination of online and offline.And the most important thing is that the teacher can effectively arrange teaching activities according to the actual situation,which is impossible in traditional class",said Chen Xunwei, the director of Experimental Center of Marxism College of Wuhan University.
Ocean University of China
Qiao Baogang, a teacher of the Center of Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance and Service of Ocean University of China, believes that, if we want to make it easy for students to accept the knowledge in the course, we have to make students like it firstly and guide students to practice secondly. Opinion poll shows that, more than 95 percent students are satisfied.
